Medium yellow. Complex aromatics with some nuttiness (but not overt oxidation) and a touch of paint solvent like some southern Rhone whites that is not offputting. Lots going on in the mouth as well with strong stone fruit character and lush texture. Unusual to be sure and very interesting.
Screw N Pour, served non-blind. Pale toward straw; clean and bight. Very fresh, attractive aromas of red apples, minerals, dry riverbed, white floral and light spice accents. The fruit and acids here are remarkably pure and equally focused. Nearly medium bodied. Brilliant tension, balance, and above-avg persistence. What's not to love? Gains character with each successive glass. If you serve this too cold, I think you might miss the understated elegance. Superb food wine. 14% abv, highly recommended. Really, bravo!
