  • Notes from memory. Classic citrus and herbaceous flavours and aromas, light creaminess, but with a very slight hint of oxidation (nut, bruised apple), which definitely detracts. Dry, high acidity, medium body and alcohol, long finish. Not sure if it is flawed or simply past its best so have not rated this bottle.

  • Clean, typical, and balanced. Really nice wine overall that represents the Sancerre style very well. While lacking a wow factor it is a great representation of it's terroir and varietal. Textbook.

  • Very complex with a huge acidity backbone. This is begging for shellfish or triple cream brie (Had it with crab legs as the main course and Brillot as the appetizer). Fruit component and complexity really shine when this wine is drunk closer to red wine temperature. It is more lively, with a pineapple and marshmallow sweetness that emerges through the acid when drunk around 60 degrees or so. Great medium-long finish with chalky minerals lingering in a most pleasant way. Very enjoyable.

  • Nose was a bit muted. Very mineral with silex notes but very little fruit at this stage.
Intense acidity so I guess this will age well but it no pleasure at this time.
