The Wine Gang (London): Now here's a wine with bags of personality. All sorts of aromas: red fruit, menthol, tobacco, blackcurrant leaf. Then a juicy, supple palate with a savoury core. Good fun. And great value. 16.5/20.
Woof. Another great wine from this producer - much richer than previous years with a wet stone aspect, minerals and refreshing red fruits. Tangy and thirst quenching. Really great red wine for the summer - and a whole £5 per bottle direct from the producer. Not to everyone's taste that is for sure, but if you like the natural wine taste then this is excellent - light, crisp, easy drinking but with a palate that is driven as much by terroir and the soil as it is by the fruit.
