From the opening, a fantastic nose. As it opened up the new oak really came forward. At warmer temperature in the glass, a bit too much. Nonetheless a fantastic wine with food. Doesn't seem to have the weight or body to go the distance. Drink up

pretty bold (even dark) when first opened, continued to be full bodied but settled enough to be good... not in my wheelhouse vis a vis style but still good and liked by the team

Flat brick red, with bricking, orange and brown at the edge. Roasted red fruits, menthol and Tuscan herb aromas. Moderate tannic grip, with balanced acidity and a lingering finish. Heavy sediment. Absolutely terrific, and can’t imagine this getting any better.
Editorial: this is definitely an example of Brunello made in a “modern” style, ie riper, fruitier and higher alcohol. This bottle was delicious. We drank one three weeks ago that was much more advanced and evolved (browner, little fruit) and not nearly as good despite being identical. Word to the wise: significant bottle variation. Use your Coravin if you have one.

In the zone, nicely aromatic, some spice, fresh tobacco and cherry, medium body, very easy to like

Tuscany WIMPS; 9/30/2021-10/1/2021 (La Trompette): Wine of the lunch for me.
Nose of tomato ketchup, fully tomato ketchup!
Confirmed by George.
Palate delivers an umami sweetness, dried cherry, really rich and fulsome. Extremely tasty
