Pretty mixed. All correct, but rather muddle of flavors/character. It showed some nutty notes, some ripe yellow fruits, but nothing really held or added up to much. Tough era for Ramonet.

Just like the '01 Chassagne, this showed some signs of TCA. Too bad...You could somehow sense citrus (mandarin, melon) with peach and a touch of vanilla. Mineral. Slightly bigger than the Chassagne village, I thought this could have been a real nice wine if not for those cork notes.

Nose of lemon, minerals, flint, toast, hint of sweet butter. Initially acidity was medium to high on the palate, then turned a little more ripe and tart in the middle, only to really smooth out after more aeration.

This is a wine that I've always liked. Even Sébastien the sommelier remarked that he was surprised at how fresh and vibrant the wine was tonight. Loads of toasty oak...in fact I was surprised at how heavy the toast was. Ripe and sweet nose, with corn, citrus and minerals/flint in the nose. Excellent acidity balance. I don't think I could ask for anything more from this wine.
