Mature Premier & Grand Cru Chablis with Richard Brazier (Handford Wines, London): Quite the youthful color. Glossy. Quite on the fatty side , especially for a Chablis and was more of a generic burgundy of good quality than a textbook Chablis. Good acidity, rounder feel, polished acidity and not sharp. Ripe and juicy not so much a lot of oak here but definitely has seen oak in its elevage, light touch of honey, lemony feel. Good wine and we would suggest one drinks this sooner than later. 90-91

From 375. Screw cap Pale straw with a greenish hint. Preserved lemon and light pineapple flavors, then fairly lean finish. Maybe more time to let it open up

out of a 375ml - Unusual and vivid nose of lemongrass , bay and pineapple lumps (pineapple confectionary) - very ripe, estery and expressive. On the palate, the high toned tropical notes on the nose are confirmed on the palate. There is an impression of sweetness to this wine that is delicious. This has a satin texture and good balance and is clearly the product of a warmer year. Plenty of power and depth. This drinks well now but I would like to see how this develops with 5-8 years in a cool cellar.

D+0h: smells of peach D+1h: pale golden colour, smells of peach and of a certain minerality, does also have something perfumed in the nose (which is not at all unpleasant), full bodied, one notices the 13%, but this is not disagreeable, peach in the mouth with a pleasant acidity, dry, long finish (15 sec), really a good wine

A soft clear yellow. Nicely crisp with lemons, minerals, under-ripe pear and a backing of cut grass with just a touch of salt. Less delicate than expected. Medium finish.
