Showed much better than the last time I had this wine. Medium to dark yellow in color. Ever so slightly cloudy. Big nose of butter and butterscotch. Like a Kistler Chard, but with more finesse. Wonderful mouthfeel. Nice extraction, but not a monster; wonderful balancing acidity. Spiced apples, leesy, and only a hint of toast. Slight almond-skin taste in the finish. Wondeful wine.

A bit muted nose, some spice and flowers. Nice palate weight. Butterscotch, oak, spice. Good palate weight, but not a powerhouse, as would have been expected from price and hype. Got a bit better with a bit of breathing; nice finish. A very good wine but poor QPR.

Dinner in Munich -- loaded with butterscotch and candied lemons, a hedonist's delight.
