  Tasted @ Champagne Tasting at my place. This is an absolutely stunning Blanc de Noirs from Cédric Bouchard. Beautiful nose of brioche, some toast and red berries (like strawberries). Pretty full-bodied but in very fresh and weightless style. Hits the palate with nice flavors of red berries, some ripe pear and brioche again. What I love most about this wine is this pure elegance and balance. There are absolutely no hard edges, it's very round, long, dense and just simply beautiful. And it's a fantastic value too...

  I love this wine. This just crushes anything in its price range, and IMO, is better than any Champer I've had recently at any price (including Krug, who I love almost more than my children, and many other luxury cuvées). This has everything I like in Champagne: no dosage, but with enough RS in the base to keep it balanced without taking the enamel off your teeth; medium- to full-bodied, yet weightless on the palate; nice minerality; delicate mousse; and a really lovely mix of citrus/brioche/toast on the palate. Cedric's best effort for this bottling to date to my taste, and I am happy to have "backed up the truck" on this one.

  Degorg. April 2012. Klar, lys strågul. Mild, floral nese, noe lukket, med sitrus og kalk/stein, tørkede blomster og autolyse. Stram og presis frukt med spenstig, finkornet mousse. Knusktørr, slank og elegant med skarp og frisk syre. Tørr utgang med mineralsk ettersmak.
