Ash, redcurrant and some stalky elements along with a touch of alcohol heat. Acid is a bit jilting on the palate and the balance was off for me. Not bad but not great overall.

Sadly our last bottle of this delicious pinot that at $20 a bottle, is a remarkable value. We have never had a bad bottle of pinot from this producer and have many of their higher end bottles in our cellar, but the JVs are consistently the best bang for the buck.

Bright red fruit, strawberry aromas. Good balance though I tasted a hint of trapped CO2 upon opening the bottle. It definitely settled down after being opened for a few hours. I really like this wine - not quite as much as the 2008 SV from Stoller - but a great effort!

(Stoller Family JV Estate Pinot Noir Dundee Hills) Pale in color with a slight orange tinge. This is an aromatic offering of Pinot Noir with toast and spice with an underlayer of strawberries and cranberries. The palate is ripe but elegant and light on its feet with focused, tart cranberry flavors and supple tannins. 100% Pinot Noir. Aged 10 months in French oak (35% new). 14.5% alcohol.

Cherry berry forward. Pretty good. Not very earthy for area.

The last of our inventory of this wine/vintage. Really good juice. Amazing QPR.
