This time, we finished this soon after opening. This was the best of the three bottles we've tried. Aromatic nose with floral and citrus notes and hints of sour apples. Good acidity, but something a little buttery on the midpalate. A hint of a burn on the finish, but very good.

Lovely, but really nothing to write home about. Nice floral gewürztraminer aromas (roses!), a bit flabby (not terrible) but lacking a bit of fruit quality. I like to see something other than pinot noir and chardonnay coming from the RRV and I really like Cartograph's other wines. A good value while you're in Healdsburg, but I suggest heading up to Michigan's Old Mission Peninsula for some better Alsasian varietals.

Very delicate pale gold in color. Sweet honeysuckle and hints of perfumed apricot/lychees on the nose. Bright and acidic on initial taste, with citrus and asian pear and some lavender that then evolves into a fuller, almost fat, mouthfeel that is phenolic and floral (violet? rose?). Long lingering finish has some white pepper, lime/grapefruit, spiciness (fennel?). Very classic Guwerztraminer. Well made. Pairs very well with food (tonight it is roasted chicken, onions, cauliflower with some fried tofu on some slightly bitter salad greens). Well done.

Similar notes to the last bottle, but this is fading after a few days open.

Nicely floral on the nose, but thin on the palate, yet with good minerality. Almost bone dry; 14.2% ABV. Very good.
