Great value. Nice fruit raspberry and black currant, surprisingly mature, med to full body and well balanced, firm acidity and fine tannin. Very good length.

Warm full body. Dark fruits and cranberry. A bit of cracked pepper at the end. Opens wonderfully with salami and cheese (89 points). Some bottles are more acidic. <D.O. Rapel Valley, Chile, 2011>. Seoul cost: W12,900 ($12USD).

Popped and poured. Drunk in the Riedel Bordeaux-glass. Color: deep purple. Taste at the first day: black berries and plum, a little to much acidity. There was also some harshness from unresolved tannins. Full-bodied, short to medium finish. No oak. Maybe this rather bold and heavy wine should have been decanted. It seemed not well integrated yet. At the second day more integrated, peppery, with floral notes (rose) and a hint of mint. Nevertheless still a little bit of harshness and a bit burning alcohol (14%). A bit hollow mid-palate and a bit flat, but also quite elegant. Should probably be cellared for (half) a year. 84-85.

This year's blend is not as good as previous vintages. We'll try it again in he next vintage.
