Enjoyable and utterly refreshing, the 2011 Etna Rosato delivers a nice balanced perfume of cool mature fruit combined with an abundance of minerals. The palate is medium-bodied and has a perfect balance between acidity and fruit. There is absolutely nothing of the sweet "flabbiness" sometimes found in rosés. A very compelling effort worth trying out if given the chance! This wine is definitely on par with the better rosés from Tavel, but of course it has its very own style and character.

Sicily in a bottle. Minerality is strong here-evoking volcanics, basalt, salt. Blood Orange plays a dominate note for fruit with pistachios and lemon. Med body, med acid, great length. A rose that drinks more like a red. Very focused and interesting.
really interesting rose from Sicily aromas of crushed rock, perfumed red fruit, similar palate but there was a beautiful citrus component coming though particularly on the finish body is a bit bigger than a typical rose

Very minerally and bone dry. Satisfying and refreshing due to the savoury backbone. A great rose.
