Eight decades of Château-Chalon (back to 1934) with Jean-Francois Bourdy: Very rich aromas. Soft and pure, tart lemon and pine notes. More pine and lemon on the light, soft palate. Creamy texture with those pine needles dominating. Pretty pure texture with nice acid and creaminess. Puckering tartness and very expressive with lemon acid and slight pine on the end. Quite rich. Lovely lingering texture. 2004 was not regarded as a very good vintage, but this showed quite well for me as a young Château-Chalon.
