  Willamette Valley Wines presents: Pinot in the City (City Winery, Chicago, IL): Nose: Nice and balanced nose with higher tones of red berries, red cherries, red florals, spice tones and rose petals. The nose is very pretty, but lacking a slight bit of depth.
  
  Taste: Medium bodied with medium+ acidity and nice supporting tannins. Well balanced with tones of red berries, red cherries, red florals, and spice tones.
  
  Overall: This was pretty open right now. It shows off the elegant side of the vintage, but it's slightly lacking some depth.

  Bright juicy notes of Queen Anne cherry, cranberry, rhubarb and blood orange. To me, this is a dead ringer for Cru Beaujolais. Palate has great intensity, bright acids and balance, picking up some cardamom and pepper to go with the zingy fruit. A youthful, exuberant wine that can be enjoyed now as a romp with food or layed down for awhile to add some complexity and nuance. A real pleasure.
