I enjoyed this but it came across as a bit fat. Perhaps I did it a disservice serving after a few champagnes. Good but not special. And definitely not a great value

Cellaraid - Chardonnay Corfefe Luncheon and red wine based Dinner (Tonny's Restaurant): clear, medium lemon; clean, pronounced nose, with aromas of lemon, melon, biscuit; dry, acidic, medium alcohol, medium body, medium intensity, with flavours of lemon, melon, wet stones, with a long finish; have to say I tasted it blind, and never expected myself to rate a Leroy as only acceptable, among other Chardonnay; can drink now, but best to age for a few more years

I've had several Leroys. This is one of the better ones. Very bright. Apple, pear and a bit of citrus. I think anyone would enjoy this but it's not what I would call a good value by any means. There are bottles just as good for less than half the price.

Pineapple nose with a bright citrus palate complemented by more complex notes of passion fruit. A minerally undertone. Fine acids for this level of wine with a seamless beginning to end experience on the palate. 90-91

Lovely. Very finely complex for a village wine. Shows a bit of the vintage with weaker than normal acids. Still, very well done.
