Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 91 points

  • Slate, petrol, citrus fruit, lychee... the nose has all the Riesling trimmings. On the palate this has a serious mineral 'snap', quite a lot of citruslike acidity, ripe white and yellow fruit, supported by exotic spices... quite long... and an unexpected 'German' character, because this is of course from Piedmont... wouldn't have guessed this blind as coming from Italy. Goes to show this very special Vajra white needs time. This can surely age a lot more, but is accessible now. Do not drink too cold, and make sure to use a big glass. Might merit a higher score.
