On the nose, fruit has started to fade with chocolate and vanilla notes dominating. Alcohol is a bit too present at first, but fades after a bit Taste and mouthful are wonderful. Black cherry, blackcurrant, cinnamon, good acidity, and soft tannins. Drink up now, since this is heading towards past peak.

I've followed this winery for many years and periodically indulge in one of their bottlings, especially cabernets. The 2010 Columbia Valley cab was refined and delightful. Decanted for an hour, the wine retained its deep garnet color. Nose was dark fruit with a hint of rose scent and earth. Flavors of plum, blackberry, chocolate and cedar with a long, smooth satisfying finish. No heat, so the alcohol was subdued as were the tannins. This wine exemplifies the good growing terroir of the Columbia Valley. This wine is ready to drink and enjoy.

Friends, what might be the drinking window for the half bottle? I want to label it accurately now, and then in future when choosing a wine to drink from my bodega, have an accurate picture of when it should be chosen. Any thoughts you may have would be appreciated. Thanks, and cheers!

Drinking beautifully. Rich fruit, restrained tannins. Not very complex but eminently drinkable. Perhaps a little pricey.

I was totally nonplussed, and I paid almost $25 for a half bottle! What a waste of money.
