Strong oak. Not nearly as watery as early comments would indicate.

Okay to cook with.
tasted like watered down butterscotch syrup with a bitter finish.
As before, ripe, slightly buttery wine with good citric fruit that is not overblown and a nice balancing dose of acidity.
Burgs About Town; 9/28/2012-9/29/2012 (Various Purveyors, San Francisco): Very attractive (much more so than the lower end whites tasted earlier today) with an admirable balance of rich, citric fruit, good acidity and a deft touch of oak. Very nice feel, and overall, a winning Macon.
