  • Really enjoyed this, and need to search for more. Showing some amber color. Nice balance of sweetness and acidity. Classic Chenin flavor. Paired well a dressed lobster dish at Park Place.

  • Amber golden color. Off dry, didn't have that crazy peanut butter or creamed corn nose, all bruised tropical fruit, and pineapple brulee. Very enjoyable with banana pudding and berry clafoutis. Drank over several weeks with great acid and length. Will search for more!

  • Double blind from a small capped bottle. Definitely chenin. A but musty and pollen. Orange and orange blossom. A touch of caramel or something. A touch woolly. Palate is drier than I would expect. Some orange blossoms. Lacking a bit of concentration in my mind. Decent acidity, some orange and quince and pollen. Finish is tart a bit dry. Orange blossom and honeysuckle. Nose - 5/6, Palate - 5/6, Finish - 4.5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1/2 = 15.5/20.

Day 4: nice perfume - some wool. Some sugar and honey. Orange blossom. Florals and pollen and nectar. Enters sweet and wooly with some orange blossom and sugar and honey. Mid palate and finish are lighter than I except or want. Finish is more wooly as the middle drops out a bit. Nose - 5/6, Palate - 4.5-5/6, Finish - 4-4.5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1/2 = 14.5-15.5/20.

  • One of the best sweet chenins I've had. Nice complexity and enough acid to keep it from being cloying.

  • Tasted blind. Med+ amber. Intense nose has a hint of VA, oxidation and quite a bit of development, with ripe lemon, bruised apple, peach, honey, orange zest, almonds, lanolin, wet rock. No oak aging. May have some lees aging and a touch of botrytis. Medium-sweet, but masked by high acidity. The med alcohol (13%) was surprisingly high given the amount of sugar. Well balanced and quite complex, with med+ to full body, flavor intensity and length. Surprising youthful, would not have guessed 12 years. Very good to outstanding now, with potential for improvement over the years.

Potential varieties include Alsatian Riesling, Vouvray Chenin Blanc, but the lack of petrol points to CB.
