Opened last night with a nice A5 Wagu. Fantastic wine, holding up well. Original cork perfect. Sommelier loved it from the start. Left the last 1/4 of the bottle for her and her team.

Wow this was kind blowing. As soon as it was open (obviously recorded at some point, it was pristine) and poured into the decanter it was obvious this was an extremely young 33 year old wine. Beautiful nose but one the palate this was absolutely exquisite. Still with plenty of primary and secondary characteristics, but the tannins are perfectly integrated at this point. As strange as it is to say, I could see this getting even better with more time in the cellar. Wow!!!

For a 32 year old wine, this was just sublime. Still lots of dark fruit flavours and a great colour with no sign of amber tinges. Tannins were good and the wine had a long finish. Well worth the wait. Note - Penfolds Clinic 2014, cork closure.

Pronounced nose intensity with notes of cooked black fruits, fig, prune, mushroom, green bell pepper. It was fresh considering its more than 30 years old. Medium acidity and tannin. Probably at its peak.

A lovely and firm wine, it will not leave you wondering of its origin.
It is a 31 year old wine and yet, it had the freshness of a cool autumn day in Coonawarra. Spicy notes and earthiness were pervasive on the nose, the body was firm without being too heavy, consisting of dark fruits, plum, chocolate and fine vanilla. Tannin was supple but weighty. Finish was firm and long.
For a small shiraz percentage, it was quite pronounced. Drink now to 8+ years.
