Interesting red blend of vranek and kratosija from Macedonia. Medium light body but big on the red fruit. First impression is dried cranberry, rhubarb and black cherry. This is followed by medium grained tannins and fairly nice acidity. The finish is dry and kind of earthy. There's a good bit going on here, very nice QPR.
This young red was rather closed at first, but some air gave way to rustic red and dark fruits (blackberry, raspberry) followed by earthy undertones and finishing with formidable tannins; This has some real nuance and character for such a well-priced wine, and I imagine it will only get better with a few more years of age
