Spotted behind the counter of my local Co-op. Peaking my interest and I asked about the price...£9.99, the sales assistant replied. 'Worth a punt' I thought. I was right.
Bottled in 2000 (not by Taylors), this has been on the self for at least 10 years, and is alive and kicking, with intact cork. A slightly hot but delicious miracle.
Sweet bresola, dried cherries, spicy lift, intense nose. Ethereal, off dry long pal, primary raisin and dried blackcurrant, to bark, burnt sugar, boozy date, savoury.

The fruit is very much alive on this. Dense, quite youthful taste, perfect with blue mold cheese.
