  • Great bottle of wine. Bright acid, medium bodied Washington cab. Color was a deep garnet with consistent color to the rim. Light astringent on the front of the tongue. Such a fun bottle of wine with dinner.

  • Still showing strong...
Blended with 10% Petite Verdot, aged 21 months in 100% new barriques. Decanted Slowly to separate sediment and let breathe for an hour+.
Robed heavily in complex scents of fruit, savory and umami. Scents show notes of roast beef and beef bouillon, black tea, morel mushrooms, forest floor, acorn and walnut that give way to deep blackberry, fig, dark cherry and black currant aromas that shows hints of graphite and pencil shavings.
The full bodied palate is dark and brooding showing ripe full tannins, juicy-moderate-berry like acidity and a little heat from the alcohol.
This wine is showing dark and savory flavors of brambly blackberry, mission fig, and black currant fruits that seamlessly integrate notes of Mtn. sage, game meats, mushroom, earth, black tea, shelled walnut, graphite, cigar smoke, leather and hints of soy sauce. Lingers with complexity and showing off the big Red Mountain tannins.

  • Excellent cab -- much better/more integrated than the last bottle consumed in 2015.
Tannins are supple and grippy, rich, powerful, cocoa, round.
