I was a bit disappointed. I expected a cool climate shiraz (syrah) but this is better described as a more modern take on Eden Valley/Barossa shiraz. Like a Penfolds with French oak and less winemaker intervention (and lower price).
Sweet raspberry and blackberry nose with a hint of vanilla. Bright fruit and silky tannin on the palate. Everything in balance. Drink and enjoy now! Not that this couldn't age, but why wait when it's so delicious now?! A perfect restaurant/bar wine.
