  • Outstanding. Dark deep rich fruit. Full bodied. I suggest a decant to help soften.

  • An incredible wine. Balanced, rich, deep, long finish. Consumed over 4 hours and the last sip was better than the first. Plenty of life left.

  • Has been a little over 2 years since consuming this wine. Rated at 96 last time, and I would say I would put it the same today. This is a knife and fork wine. Instantly, aromatics of roasted black, purple, blue fruits hit you right in the face upon cork pop. I think that this is probably the right time to drink this one, and did not really even decant. Entry is black tar, ripe blackberry pie, fig, baking spice. Middle gains a little bit of herb, leather. Starts to gain a peppery note. This wine finishes with immense depth and complexity. Goes on for a couple of minutes. Really firing on all cylinders and in its element today. The finish is starting to soften a bit. Toasted cedar tannin finish. Drink now or hold another 5-7 years. Has probably 15 years of life left.

  • Crazy aromatics right from the start. Lush yet balanced black and blue Mountain fruit interlaced with an herbal core that really gave this nice lift. Still youthful at 12 years of age and seems like it has a long life ahead, as opposed to other valley floor 2007s I’ve tried. This is really a tremendous wine with tremendous aging potential. The aromatics are really what speak for this wine. Only reason I didn’t go even higher on my rating was that it confusingly turned to more coconut and blueberry candy like a reasonably priced Rioja Reserva after about an hour so I think that needs to tame a bit but damn, what a wine! Wish I had more to open another in 5 years time.

  • Beautiful nose with crushed rocks and flowers in addition to the classic Cab aromas. Deep, rich and lush, and turns silky smooth with a few hours of air. Plenty of sweet tannins support a long, mouthwatering finish. A special wine.
