  • This is a beautiful deep red, huge bodied cab that really benefits from breathing. Upon opening I smelled strawberry red licorice but once it hit the tongue we got cherries, a hint of peach and nice butterscotch tone. It could have been an excellent compliment to some red meat but even just drinking alone slowly, it was a real pleasure

  • A bit linear initially, but develops some complexity after it's been open for awhile. Dark cherry notes on the palate. Very, very good for the price.

  • In my last tasting note, I mentioned that the wine was boring, and I thought it needed more air time. This time I opened the bottle, tasted it (consistent with earlier notes), but set it aside for the next day. What a major difference. Still not a blockbuster cab by any means, but it was soft and sensual, offering a much better nose and more of a bordeaux-like finish. Great mid-week wine, but give it lots of time before drinking.

  • Very fruit-forward with some tannin in the background. Dark cherry and spice. Not quite up to the earlier bottle, but that could just be me. If I had more, I'd hold for another year, max. This is not going to get any better, in my estimation, but is currently a good solid cab.

  • I guess it is a good everyday wine, but a bit of a yawner. Still tight, tannic on the finish. Definitely should have been opened earlier, although it was decanted. A bit harsh, but not at all clear it will develop.
