  Disappointing wine, although I don't think it was specifically faulted. Aromas of cherry sauce, pepper, smoke, rhubarb and oak. The palate shows tary cranberry fruit, and bitter green tannins. Quite acidic and really falls off on the finish. I left it for 24 hours to see if it was just too young, but it was just as bad the second day, with that same bitter green tannin and short finish. Maybe an off bottle?

  The Lucente 2010 is the best vintage i have tasted yet of this wine. Full of juicy fruit and long and smooth on the finish. Dark in color with aromas of fresh blackberries, cherry, and hints of spicy cedar. I find it very balanced with structured tannins. This one could be enjoyed young and drink well 2014-2017.
