Dinner with Friends (Kapcsandy, Continuum, SQN, Droin, +) (Our Home): This was nice. It had an old school rusticity to it, which I liked. Pale golden in the glass with a medium amount of small bubbles. The nose is very smoky/toasty with some citrus. The burnt toast quality carries thru to the palate. Some bright citrus notes keep it alive on the palate along with some decent acidity. Went very well with a Roasted Eggplant spread.

Offers a richness and depth that is very attractive relative to most champagne in this price range. Comes across as substantial, as opposed to light. This is a real wine (that happens to have some carbonation), not just a sparkly trifle.

Vindredi (Jeff's): Rich nose, with yellow fruit, yeast, and brioche. Showing a little bottle age, with almonds and yellow fruit. Fine bubbles.

Flavor and body improved as it warmed up, reducing the prevalence of acid and allowing the fruit, and minerality to come thru.
light gold color with just a hint of pink
Green apples, toast and brioche palate
Finish has a bit of sour green apple on it that gets better as it warms up.
Overall, this is a relatively big wine that I enjoyed.
