it ain't condrieu, but it's still lovely. nice acidity, but that waxy/oily texture i've come to associate with viognier, and lovely floral and tree fruit aromas. tasty with a chill, but much better as it warms a bit past cellar temp.
Opened for 30 minutes and drank on and off over next 3 hours. Clear straw color. Peaches and pears at first, with a tart finish. Worked well with three white cheeses -- sharp aged cheddar, raquleqte and goat. Later the tropical fruits came out: Melon, coconut and banana (?), plus a little stone fruit, with a smooth finish. If I drank more white wines, i'd keep a bunch of this one around.
