This wine still needs time in bottle. On opening, the wine was highly vegetal and not well balanced with high acid-- 80-81. But with an hour open the wine started showing some nice black fruits and a touch of mocha. After a couple days open, this started drinking like a nice but simple cab--86. Give it the benefit of the doubt and have it well aerated for most enjoyment. -- 85 overall.
13.5% alc. Good Cabernet typicity on the nose, medium bodied with lower acidity and moderate tannins. Cherry, raspberry, vanillin oak, pretty straightforward. Decent food wine and something that while not a showstopper, is perfectly acceptable and of good quality.
This was a Lot 18 purchase. Not much of a nose and if there was one, it was slight cherry bouquet. On the pallet it was fruit forward but not overly big. This would be a good bottle at $10-12. Unfortunately I paid slightly more.
