Deep gold with greenish highlights. Nose and palate of dried flowers and lychee with a white pepper finish. Medium full mouthfeel with surprisingly mouthwatering acidity. A very nice and uncommon representation of the varietal.
Nice wine. This bottle has been open for seven days, and it still drinks very well. Tropical fruits, pineapple and nice acidity. Surprised at the long finish. Vey good value, and happily surprised that it has lasted so long.
Semillon -Viognier Tasting (Le Petit Sommelier): Clear in the nose, showing med intensity, sweet fruit, peach and apricot, almond and hazelnut, syrup notes, developing. The wine is dry, med body and intensity, med+ acidity (strangely enough) and med alcohol (12.50%), peach and apricot, balanced and med finish. Very good, high/borderline premium price, drinking now but can hold. Nice
By the glass at the BA lounge. Exotic fruit, apricots and light floral elements compose a nice bouquet. On the palate it has density, weight and good ripeness but maintains a lovely balance and character. Good too see that it is not molested by oak and left on its own to shine. Pretty solid and a good 89. Drinks very nicely now.
