Okay. Past it's prime with raisin and prune. A bit disjointed and angular and out of balance with fruit absent. What do you expect from a 40+ year old wine? You roll the dice and hope for the best.

Dinner at Colicchio & Sons (NYC): Lightly bricked deep blood (wow, dark). Wet concrete, strawberry jam; pruney raisin; some oxidation. Palate disjointed, very tannic, wispy fruit tryin' to get to heaven before they close the door. A little flaccid. Bone-dry, tannic finish. OK with dinner, but way past its best (though for one of the group it was WOTN -- go figure).

Very well past it’s prime. Notes of berries and a funky finish.
