Lovely to drink right now but watch the alcohol content. It's surprisingly 'cool' for 16.5%, smooth tannins and forward fruit, lingering finish and an elegantly firm structure.

I don't agree with previous notes that are down on this wine. The alcohol is high, obviously, but it's perfectly integrated. This, for me, is a great expression of the terroir; fruity, big, unmistakably Sonoma.

Well, prior notes are in a similar line to my experience, perhaps i'm a little softer. Would put this away till 2015 before judgement. Solid producer that has cred. Comes a little strong in the fruit/ETOH/sugar department. Of note, is one of the highest ETOH wines i've sampled - 15.5%.
Nose is rich/dark and has a ETOH flare of dark raspberry fruit. Palate is a little warm, similar fruit with some deep complexity that is hard to further describe at this point.

Someone brought this over since they knew I was carignane fan. A shame that they screwed up fruit from the old vines by letting them hang too long and then oaking the hell out of it. That old vine fruit didn't need all of the spoofilation. A crime.
