DG 11/2010 Surprisingly aged. A pastry cream base, vanilla, old dusty books, humid cellar scent, burnt sugar and caramel, oil/petroleum, toasty notes, some fruit but not too much, mainly baked and fresh peaches and coconut. In general, the wine remained the same throughout the whole bottle; it showed as quite 'advanced', and not in a positive way. It seemed a little oxidized and we think its storage wasn't the best. Almost certainly an exception; we hope to drink it again one day in a better state. NR
