I could not believe that this 20 year old Zin, even from Turkey, held up as well as it did. Absolutely stunning balance, deep dark red fruit and peppery spice, great mouthfeel and perfect with the medium rare steak off the grill. Wish it was not my last bottle!!

Black Licorice on nose. Hot, big wine with clearly high alcohol contnet. Somewhat bitter mid-palate but still impressively enjoyable after 14 years in the bottle.Good mouth feel and better balance after 20 minutes in the glass. Surprisingly drinkable well past what i would have assumed would be its prime.

An elegant and mature zinfandel that reminds me of a Rafanelli zin. Provencal dried herbs, dried cherries with a slightly tart finish. Fairly reticent for a Turley but maybe a result of the age. A nice drink but totally overshadowed by the Aida '97 that followed.

CHERRIES, RASPBERRIES, PLUMS, AND LEATHER IN THE NOSE. RICH FRUIT IN THE FLAVOR WITH BLACK CHERRIES AND SPICE. NICE COMPLEXITY AND A LONG FINISH.
