  • Just entering the window. Complex nose, red fruits, strawberry, cherry, cranberry, layers of spice, anise, perhaps cinnamon even? Smooth in the palate, again, a hint of spiciness across the tongue, very very long finish. Perfectly balanced, drinking so well now, needs time to open up, years ahead still but you wouldn't regret opening one up now.

Incredible Concentrated Medium Body without Heaviness!
    Very focused and Mineral driven
    Velvety texture and Long Finish
(a little tough tannin, I think it's a vintage influence.)

  • Another classic Leroy Boudot. Though the wine over time is getting more restrained. The nose is there but needs time in the glass before you get a hint of the classic Vosne spices come through. Classic Burgundy color. On the palate, you can taste the somewhat rustic structure of the Nuit St Georges tannins along with the elegant Vosne fruit.

  • Powerful and crisp with black cherry fruit and a strong cut of minerals. This is not a shy wine with plenty of power and firm acids and the finish is intense and firm with a wall of delicious dark fruit and spice. Very good now even if a bit dry on the finish but it should surely last and perhaps become more complex in time. At Vaucluse, NYC.

  • Nose is intricate and incredibly floral, combining both Vosne spice and Nuits earth-driven rusticity. Big perfume. Blue and purple berry fruit when cooler and roasty / zesty tomatoes when warmer. Palate is very textured with red and black fruit, currant. A certain texture and tomatoe leaf that is reminiscent of many DRCs. A lot of fruit but also a lot of earth. Damp coffee grounds. Big and tannic. Seemed to grow with time open. Impressive.

(Domaine Leroy Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Les Boudots) Slightly cloudy, bricking, medium raspberry red color; tart dried berry, dried cherry nose with a touch of orange; tasty tart minerally red fruit, cinnamon, orange and dried cherry palate; medium finish (WOTF for me and the group)
