TASTING NOTES: The nose opens to layers of currant, black cherries and licorice. On the palette, lush flavors of cherries, cocoa powder, and a touch of vanilla are complimented by ripe tannins and well-balanced acidity. This wine will continue to develop and improve. I wish I had another bottle of the same vintage to drink at a later date. I ate a pasta chicken, with a garlic squash sauce.

Immediately hints of Bordeaux hit the nose and are mirrored on the mouth dancing like small French men across your tongue.
For an Oak Knoll Cab, this is not a fruit bomb. I'd even say that it's a bit more earth with hints of currants, pipe tobacco, and cassis. Black fruit follows after the wine has breathed for a bit.
The wine looks Ruby colored. The legs are Slow. It smells like Dust, Mineral, Stoniness, Toast, Vanilla, Black currant (cassis), and Plum.
The body is Medium/Full. The wine has Round texture. The wine finishes Long.
