Day 1 - decanted and tried. Deep burgundy color. Layers of big fruit, mocha and white oak. Seems to have a solid structure but definitely needs time. Decided to table tonight and try again tomorrow night.
Day 2 - softer fruit and flavors but still lots of blackberry and red fruits. Good chalky tannins and wet, fresh sawn oak. Quite a beautiful wine and should only get better with time.
p.s. grilled pork chops, bacon wrapped shrimp and spinach salad.

Grapes for Great Causes: Older SQN and SE Flight ‘06-‘09 (Les Nomades Chciago): More merlot coming thru, still tight but more weight on the palate. Fruit prominent on the palate. Lots of long term potential. Hold for 5+years.
