Very good; not sure when we acquired the wine, but I'm glad we did so. It was not in any way past it's drinking age, but we have a climate controlled cellar so it may be past it's best in other storage conditions.

Rustic wine with weak structure. Notes of watermelon and cherry candy, Indian spices, and game. Soft and round on the palate. Tastes overripe. Weak tannins and acidity. Good aromatic complexity. Would serve decently as a rustic picnic wine, but wouldn't be my first choice. I may have had a more favorable impression earlier in its lifetime; certainly it's on the decline now.

On first opening had lots of fruit - some plums, blackberries - and a distinctive taste of the garrigue. There was some fruit at the beginning, an odd somewhat flat middle but a long, distinctive finish.
After opening, the wine had more body, was well balanced and a very pleasant finish.
Definitely an old world taste, this might not be to everyone's liking. For me the 2011 is not a great wine but is a good wine better than an everyday wine and represents excellent value.
