  • Definitely less advanced than our previous bottle one year ago, but still showing its age. The color was a clear medium yellow after slo-oxing for 10 minutes. Lemon and minerality on the nose, which carried over to the medium to plus palate with a touch of green apple. The acidity was very fresh and outran the fruit, and there was a bit of lemon pith on the finish. I would suggest drinking up in the next year or so.

  • Dark yellow. Developed aromas of citrus and butter malt. Light and soft on the palate. Has lost some of its vivacity.

  • It seems Father Time finally caught up with us with this bottle. When opened the wine was a medium gold color while the aromatics and palate were dulled. The wine was still drinkable but did not have the characteristics of previous bottles, so I will refrain from scoring, and suggest drinking up.

  • Decanted for 10 minutes, but more time is better. Chill, but only to 45-50 F. This bottle was a bit better than our last bottle in June 2021 as it did not show as much age.
The color was a clear medium yellow. There was mostly minerality with some mild aromas of lemon on the nose. The wine had a medium to plus mouthfeel and showed mostly minerality and lemon with a touch of green apple. The acidity was medium to plus and there was a bit of lemon pith on the finish.
I think I'll give the next bottle a lot more decanter time and see what results.

  • Slo-oxed for 15 minutes that allowed the wine to open, and to warm to 45-50F. Not as satisfying as our previous bottle a bit over two years ago (3/29/19) as it seemed to show more age than that previous bottle.
There were mild aromas of lemon and minerality. It was a golden yellow in the glass, which was evidence of its age. The wine had a medium to plus mouthfeel and showed mostly lemon and mineral, plus some green apple and a touch of spice. The acidity was medium to plus and there was a bit of lemon pith on the finish.
