Amazing, really a great wine. I love the crystallized cork that was up against the wine. I have no idea if it's an indication of great aging but I've always been impressed with wines that have it.

-Bottle served at room temperature (68°) -Cork in excellent condition, no wine bleed. -Decanted for 2 hours -Color: Garnet- clear -Nose: Rhubarb and raspberry, with floral notes (rose and white lilac) up front with cinnamon undertone -Palate: Muted fruit-raspberry and blueberry, allspice, cedar and floral notes (trailing). Light mouth feel, low acidity and a short, quick finish on the back palate. -Food Pairing: Salmon -Overall: Not as powerful as most Russian River Pinot Noirs but nice balance. A bit softer than I remember; tasting more like a Sonoma Coast Pinot. Lower acidity and quicker finish than I remember which is a sign it may be past its prime drinking window.

Typically not my style of Pinot Noir but this was a very strong effort. Wine still had power and grace. not sure why you would wait but you could.
