Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 81.7 points

  • “Mixed Bag of Australian Wines”-Tasting, Wine 2 (blind), in November 2013. My least favourite wine of the flight. The wine was medium yellow-golden in colour, with a dash of CO2, and offered an expressive nose of citrus, apple, tropical fruit, pineapple, some biscuit, Christmas stollen, some vanilla and a hint of sherry. On the ripe and sweet palate the wine showed apple, apricot, tropical fruit, some pineapple, bubble gum, roasted notes, toast and vanilla, paired with a touch of residual sugar, medium-minus to medium-level acidity and good length. The ripe, medium- to full-bodied, medium-complex wine had good concentration, but lacked freshness. Drink now and over the next two years.
