Lean, clean, old-school Burgundy. Opened during the Super Bowl. Lots of red cherries, florality and game. Emerging rusticity that compliments a spice-driven finish well. Thoroughly enjoyable to share with friends over the course of the game.

Tasted over 2 hrs -semi-translucent med red mild bricking -very pretty gentle creamy brambly red fruit and wet stone -med/med+ acidity, med- weight beautiful fading gentle minerally red fruit with a secondary savory note, med- tannins mostly resolved -really gorgeous now on its mature plateau which should last at least 5 more years

Color is light/medium garnet to the rim. Nose shows high-toned cherry and spice. On the palate, everything is in perfect balance with cherry, earth, and spice framed by still significant acid and nice framing tannins. Still young for sure, but totally drinkable now with food. Will wait 5-10 years until my next bottle. Thank goodness that there are still reasonably affordable old-school Burgundies like this!
This is very lean right now, even with plenty of air. It has excellent raw materials and a silky mouthfeel, both of which bode well for the future. At one point, some very pure strawberry fruit emerged. No degradation overnight. Tight and lean right now. No degradation overnight. In Hallandale Beach.
