Got this by mistake, but it is one of my favorite wines so it worked out well. Beautiful aromatics on the nose. This is huge on the palate, but carries it off oh so well. Big bursts of flavor. Perfect balance. Long, lingering finish. This would benefit from a few years (3-5, maybe more) in the cellar if you dare risking pre-mox.
Big Time Barolo and Barbaresco Fest et al (Il Foro, Mpls, MN): Light gold color. Drank 1+ glass over an hour plus. This really was lovely, exhibiting great purity, lovely lemon, a little butter, orange peel, textured and lingering and elegant on the palate. This seemed to keep taking on more weight and depth through the evening. A wonderful bottle. 92+pts.
Lafon Clos de Barre 2011. Herlig tiltalende nese, om enn noe subtil. Fantastisk smoothness i anslaget. Flott frukt og lineær gjennom hele smakskurven. Finishen sitter lenge, og vinen har en nydelig balanse. Drikker veldig bra med litt luft. Digger dette! 92-93p
Imbibed in Provence. A spectacular wine. Vibrant, clear yellow robe. Tints of green. Youthful, yet with bags of character, texture and a punch. Balanced with butteriness, floral scents, fruits on nose and palate. Highly structured, this wine is wonderful yet and we know its has oodles of time to mature. A precocious little wine! Super!
