  • Bought several years ago from a reputable store, and stored with me since (though with some fridge time since I was out of space for a good while). Bottled under DIAM5. PnP into Grassl Cru.

Pale yellow color that was surprisingly young (a theme to come). Initial cool nose of orange + lemon and white flowers with some flint, making for a surprisingly fresh nose. More citrus on the attack, prominent minerality, but also thin and not weighty. Faint almond and herbs for some interest.
But with an hour in glass this expands into a slightly plush, woodruff or pastry cream feature. Will follow over the next couple of nights, but overall a nice if straightforward wine. Main points against are the simplicity and relative lack of fruit, as well as a slightly abrupt finish now dominated (on night 2) by the MLF creaminess, but I was overall quite pleasantly surprised.

    Light straw gold (looked younger)
    Light aromas
Dry fairly innocuous fruit, some mild weight flavors, but this is likely past its prime. Decent enough and recognizable, but not much interest left

  • Focused, rather sharp, and mineral driven. Citrus fruit. Not a huge amount of richness or depth. Nice enough, but doesn't wow me.

  • Light yellow; steely, flinty nose; steely fresh attack, a bit dry, rich flavours towards the end, long aftertaste; nice
