  • This one was excellent.

In fact I would be hard pressed to name a better dry German base riesling. It combines the fine and clean fuityness typical for the Mosel with a great Rheingau-reminiscent acidity, which balance each other suberbly. Best-of-both-worlds kind of thing. Add a little oilyness and just a hint of sweetness and you get a highly enjoyable wine that is both well drinkable and has substance.

I'd advise to decant this wine (for yesterday's bottle 1 hour in a wide caraffe was enough) and try drinking it slightly warmer than usual for a dry white, to get the full picture.

I continue to be amazed by this winemaker and will try to taste as much from them as humanly possible.
