Oddero Cellardoor tasting (Santa Maria in Langhe): Medium ruby with narrow rim, 14.5% abv. Medium developing perfumy nose of barnyard, earth, horses, red berries, pretty complex yet closed. Dry-off-dry, medium-medium(+) acidity, medium(+)- ripe tannins, medium(+) body and medium(+) alcohol. Medium(+) wide ranging palate of red cherries, meat, cured ham, tobacco, mineral. Good balance between savoury-fruit-tannins-acidity. Powerful and expressive. Great length, fresh elegant finish. Long cellar potential 10-20 years. More masculine than the Villero 2006.
