(le vin a passé 3 heures en carafe): 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah et 10% Mourvèdre de vignes de 65 à 125 ans d`âge. Là on jase! Ample, dense et complexe. Un beau fruit juteux avec un beau boisé maitrisé…long et élégant. Jeune certes mais tout est là. Excellent!
Deep, rich purple with long, slow legs. Nose of spice, herb, earth/soil, licorice. Flavor of blackberry, raspberry, black cherry, tea, hints of aged tobacco and smoke. Lots of oak. Medium-full body, coarse with very firm tannins, lingering big, tannic finish.
To judge this wine at this point is impossible. It has great potential, all the cdp fixin's. I think the low score was possibly a bad bottle because this wine which was enjoyed by many "in the know" and was loved.
Hard to get a read on. Very intense but the flavours haven't come together yet and it's sort of adolescent - all flailing limbs. One mouthful I will taste oak, the next cassis, the next cherry and so on. But not everything singing together yet. Will be a very good wine and might be an amazing one but it needs to come together. Finish incredibly long. Note that this is after a 4 hour decant. 93+
