Medium ruby red with clear rim. Tobacco and cinnamon bouquet with red cherry jam to balance. Mature Grenache flavours dominate the palate. Quite a light wine with firm tannins but lacks depth and seems one dimensional. Underwhelming at the moment
Smooth entry at this point, with the expected dark cherryish fruit with a overlay of smoked meat and a hint of herbs. Very harmonious and balanced, this wine seemed to be at maturity with quite a few years left ahead of it.
Perhaps the finest bottle of this to date -nice dark cherry fruit with good underbrush and some roasted herbs. Elegant and clean with nice medium finish. Not very complex but smooth and tasty after a 1 hr decant when the tannins seemed soft & integrated. Time to drink.
