  • Great reviews on this one. I love what tooch says. This wine has the gumminess and round profile I associate with Rhone whites (I tend to like very sharply delineated acidic whites) but I do find undeniable interest. As azzah notes, great wine to start the evening and goes well with a variety of cheeses. Gold tinged straw. Pears and melons abound with some very nice rhone spice finishing on the palate. There could be some more acidity, but "whatever, it was good." Notably, I found the wine to gain considerable interest with air and as it came up to room temp.

  • Vibrant yellow colour. Do not drink this wine too cold. I took it our of the fridge and poured and was overwhelmed by a bitter petrol aroma and flavour. It was a completely different wine once it had wamed up.

Florals, dried apricots, pear, ginger and spice. Reasonable length. Maybe does lack some drive along the palate but provides a nice start to a meal and goes well with a variety of cheeses.

  • (Mostly) Northern Rhone Night (The Bristol - Chicago, IL): Nice start to the evening. This is a wine that while not profound was quite good. Melons, and pears were the story here as was the less than average acidity. I think Rhone whites can sometimes be a bit gummy and round, so acidity is important to me. This could have used a bit more, but whatever, it was good.

  • Really interesting. Quite a restrained mineral nose but the palate is much more open. The entry is ripe with apricot fruits, has a nice freshness and a nice dry, spicy bitter note on the finish. Excellent value.
